make it sparkle!

Rhinestones, ribbons, die cuts, pictures and more!

This is a pretty intricate, custom wedding program I designed. It features sparkly purple paper, die cut with rhinestones on the top & bottom "points", the white paper is printed front and back, 8 pages, that include all the typical wedding program details (wedding party, wedding ceremony, thank you, in memory of, ect.), and to set this one even more a part from others, it included 2 photos of the couple! I will soon post all the inside pages so you can see the complete program! Does this have you thinking of options for your own wedding???

I was just too excited to wait!

So I decided to design a couple mock ups for Sophie's birth announcements. I'm sure there will be changes to which ever design my sister decides to go with, but I thought I would get a jump start on it! Next week I'll be visiting her to shoot new pictures to use it. Enjoy! :)

Concept A - Front only design

Concept B - Front
Concept B - Back

Which one is your favorite?

Personal Touches on your Wedding Day

A perfect wedding isn't only beautiful - it's a very personal occasion, too! You can use carefully selected details that are meaningful to you and your fiancé.

Here are some very simple ways to add your own subtle, unique touches to your wedding ceremony and reception
:
  • Write your own wedding vows. It doesn't have to read like poetry; the important thing is that it comes from your own heart. Print it out on an index card and keep it handy during the ceremony.
  • Guests often have free time on their hands during their reception. In the center of the table, place several pens and small pieces of paper in a pretty basket. Ask them to write their wishes, prayers, or advice for you and your fiancĂ©. Compile in a scrapbook.
  • Display photos from your parents, in-laws, grandparents, sister, brother, ect. wedding days. Set up a special table with a card in front of each photo explaining the meaning of each photo and their wedding date.
  • If you have a close friend or family member who passed away, make him or her part of the occasion by inserting a small photo in your bouquet, or lighting a tribute candle at the church ceremony.
  • Wear an heirloom. For example, you can use your grandmother's veil, or wear a locket that belongs to your mother. This is an excellent way of creating a sense of continuity between generations, celebrating your own family even as you go on to begin your own.

The possibilities are endless!!!
Below are examples I designed for a Bride:

Instead of just plain table numbers, they used words that were special to them, and on the back explained why/what it meant to them. Another special touch this couple did was set up a photo booth at the reception, and for a favor they gave frames that fit the photo strip from the booth. Inside the frame I designed a “thank you” from the bride & groom using their engagement photo.

Make an impact!

One easy way to stand out amongst the others is by using bold colors (think yellow and hot pink!)! Another is by creating a matching stationary ensemble! Don't forget that information cards should match the look and feel of your actual invitation. See the directions card and RSVP postcard below!

Have a great holiday weekend! :)
